Moral Identity & Standards

Objects carry time, culture and human intention.

NASSJA brings contemporary Moroccan craft into modern homes without separating the object from its origin. We begin with rugs and the people, materials, and places that shape them.

Standard 01

Traceable Origin

Every object carries a verified region, town or workshop record. We credit artisan communities publicly, honoring cultural authorship and preventing anonymous exploitation.

Standard 02

Material Integrity

We work exclusively with 100% natural, unblended wool, traditional vegetable or non-toxic dyes, and authentic hand-weaving processes. Synthetic shortcuts are strictly forbidden.

Standard 03

Credited Artisans

Artisans are paid fair economic value above local market averages. Where consent is granted, maker profiles and workshop histories are shared alongside the object.

Standard 04

Honest Storytelling

Handmade objects naturally contain asymmetry, color variation, and weave shifts. We document these details accurately rather than idealizing or mass-standardizing them.

Digital Product Passport

Ownership transparency that travels with the rug.

When you receive a NASSJA piece, its physical documentation includes a QR link to a permanent digital provenance passport. This record contains the original knot density, wool source, care log, and repair notes for future generations.
